From Our House: Free Pattern!
As a Riley Blake designer, I got to participate this year in a low-volume collaborative collection called Hush Hush 4. This sweet little fabric collection is the perfect low-volume bundle, filled with adorable little prints! I’ve designed a super cute block for this free pattern - keep scrolling to find and download it!
To celebrate this collection, Riley Blake Designs is hosting the From Our House Sew Along! This is a super cute and flexible quilt that will give you lots of different block options.

This week, I’m sharing an alternate center block for this quilt that I really love. It’s this adorable little tree, which can be made either traditionally or with FPP. The pattern has both options!

The Lily Pattern is close to my heart, as it was designed in honor of my daughter and released for her 1st birthday. This block based patten is a delightful combination between geometric symmetry and curved, floral shapes. While this pattern features many curved blocks, I’ve given extra room for trimming in the templates and provided both a blog tutorial and video tutorials to help you trim these curved blocks to perfection! This pattern can be made with 4 colors of yardage or a fat quarter bundle, and is available in a baby, throw, or queen size with optional borders. This sample was quilted by Kristin VanKampen and photographed by Amy Wennerlind and Amy Garro. Photos 3 and 5 by Christina West.
The sample colors can be replicated with either Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Solids or Kona Cotton:
Color A: AGF Pacific or Kona Seafoam
Color B: AGF Zambia Stone or Kona Emerald
Color C: AGF Spruce or Kona Sage
Background: AGF Snow or Kona White

This advanced beginner to intermediate pattern was created after my son requested his very own pumpkin quilt. While there are many wonderful pumpkin patterns available, I had trouble finding one that had an organic feeling with a variety of pumpkin sizes, shapes, and leaves, so I designed my own! This pattern comes in a throw sized only, but the blocks can be made individually and rearranged with additional background sashing if desired.
To celebrate this pattern release, I created a coordinating gouache painting of the quilt pattern and have prints available! These high quality giclée prints on cold pressed water color paper are a fun way to bring a bit of autumn coziness into your sewing space (or any part of your home).
This sample was quilted by Jenn B Quilting, and used the following Sprout Woven fabrics from Fableism:
A: Autumnal
B: Terracotta
C: Cider
D: Sunglow
E: River Rock
F: Cenote
Background: Kona Natural

The Summer Solstice pattern uses log cabin blocks and curves to create an overlapping mountain range rising above a set of curves that evoke either the sun or phases of the moon - you decide! This intermediate or advanced beginner pattern comes together faster than you’d expect, and isn’t too challenging as long as you handle the bias edges carefully. If you consider yourself an advanced or confident beginner and are ready to handle curves, this pattern is a great choice! Choose from a baby, throw, or queen size.
Fabrics used in the sample are:
A: AGF Pure Solids Evergreen
B: AGF Pure Solids Terracotta Tile
C: AGF Pure Solids Sugar Plum
D: AGF Pure Solids Blushing
E: AGF Pure Solids Ocean Fog
