Trunk Show & Lecture

In this lecture I’ll show a full portfolio of my work and discuss the evolution of my style and the special techniques used in various designs. I’ll also discuss my workflow and the tools I use to design my quilt patterns and answer questions.

Quilt Design using Vector Graphics

**60 - 75 minutes**
Feeling restricted by traditional block-based quilt design software? Learn how I design my quilts using low-cost vector graphic software and see demos of my design process.

Imrov Curve Landscapes

**4 - 6 hour online, 6 hours\full day in person**
Use Improv Curves to create a customizable, one of a kind landscape quilt. In this workshop, we’ll focus on my personal technique of assembling improv curves for maximum accuracy and efficiency.

Malia Quilted Pillow

**6 hours / full day**
One of my most popular patterns of all time, the Malia pattern is normally only available through the Modern Makes Membership. Students will leave with a completed pillow and a digital pattern that includes instructions for a baby, throw, and queen size quilt using this block.

Full Quilt Pattern

**1 - 2 day workshop**
Choose any Alderwood Studio quilt pattern to make together. We will cover the most important techniques for success for the chosen pattern and work through any tricky spots. Depending on the pattern chosen and length of workshop, students will leave with with either a finished quilt top or significant progress through the most challenging aspects of the quilt. Crystalline Mini Quilt Workshop

**3 hours**
The Crystalline Mini Quilt utilizes a faceted half rectangle triangle block that can be a bit tricky. In this skill building workshop, I’ll walk you through these blocks so that you can sew and trim them with confidence, and create this striking mini quilt that makes a gorgeous wall hanging or pillow.
