Errata

All of my patterns going through multiple rounds of technical editing and testing, and my goal is to always have error-free patterns in my shop! That said, we are all human and occasionally an error slips through. If you think you’ve spotted an error that isn’t on this page, please reach out to help@alderwood-studio.com!

Modern Heirloom Quilting Errata

Desert Mirage Pattern

The color B cutting instructions for the throw size state to cut 3 1/2” strips together and subcut further. The initial measurement of 3 1/2” is correct; the final strip size for B1 should be 3 1/2” x 48 1/2”.

Additionally, the final borders on this quilt have a bit of extra room in the cutting to allow for seam allowance variations in this beginner pattern. Trim the borders as needed after the quilt is complete!

Supernova Pattern

In the first version of the template files uploaded to the website, the Supernova templates had switched labels. The current file uploaded is correct.

Pattern Errata

Asteria Pattern

The Asteria pattern distributed from 11/2024 to 7/2025 had an error in the cutting chart. The Queen Size, A3 pieces require 8 ½” x WOF strips, rather than 8” x WOF strips.

Summer Solstice

Printed Summer Solstice patterns distributed in the second half of 2021 had a mistake in the Color E cutting instructions.

The Baby, Throw, and Queen cutting instructions for Color E are as follows:

Ponderosa

Printed Ponderosa patterns distributed in 2022 have a correction in the Queen Size cutting instructions for color C. No additional fabric is required. The correct instructions for pieces C3 and C4 are:

2 - 2" x 56" strips (C3)

2 - 2" x 110" strips (C4)

Boxwood

In the printed Boxwood patterns distributed from 2022-2024, part of a diagram label is cut off on Step 14. The instructions specify the the correct piece to use; A14.

Asteria

The version of the Asteria quilt pattern prior to 7/21/2025 has an error in the Queen size Fabric A cutting instructions. The old version says to cut (3) 8” x WOF strips for the A3 pieces. This should say to cut (3) 8 1/2” x WOF strips for the A3 pieces.
